Community Matters — Supporting Our Community Place.

September 25, 2026 · Community

On September 25, 2026, Stone Spring Storage was proud to serve as an Old Rag Mountain Sponsor of the Awakening Human Brilliance Fall Gala, hosted by Our Community Place (OCP) at On Sunny Slope Farm in Harrisonburg.

OCP does meaningful work right here in our community — providing meals, operating a food pantry, and supporting neighbors experiencing food and housing insecurity. Their mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs. It's about building relationships, restoring dignity, and helping people find a path toward greater stability.

Helping People Through Life's Transitions

At Stone Spring Storage, we see firsthand how life changes can affect people's needs. Some customers are moving into new homes, downsizing, settling an estate, or starting a new chapter.

For individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, life's transitions can bring much greater challenges. Finding stability often means rebuilding routines, relationships, and a sense of security — sometimes while trying to hold on to the few personal belongings that remain.

While the circumstances may be very different, we recognize how important it is for people to have a sense of stability and dignity during times of change. That's one reason OCP's mission resonates with us.

Community Matters

Stone Spring Storage is locally owned and operated, and Harrisonburg is our home. Our children attend local schools, our neighbors are our customers, and the organizations serving this community are important to us.

We believe being a local business means more than providing a service. It means supporting the people and organizations that make our community stronger. Sponsoring OCP's Human Brilliance Gala was one small way we could contribute to that effort.

We're grateful for the work OCP does every day and for the many volunteers, donors, and community partners who help make it possible.
